On October 10th, Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP, alongside other NYC labor movement practitioners and allies, co-sponsored the Solidarity Mixer, a networking event for law students from underrepresented groups. There were over 100 in attendance at this inclusive event. Representatives from unions and New York area law firms specializing in labor and employee benefits, working at the forefront of the labor movement, met with students to discuss what a career in the Movement entails. Joining attorneys from Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP were attorneys and representatives from the AFL-CIO Union Lawyers Alliance; the American Guild of Musical Artists; Cary Kane PLLC; Communications Workers of America, District 1; Friedman & Anspach; Gorlick, Kravitz & Listhaus, P.C.; Levy Ratner; Meyer Suozzi, New York State United Teachers; the Peggy Browning Fund; Pitta LLP; SAG-AFTRA, SEIU Local 32BJ, and Spivak Lipton. The event was a success and we are grateful to the co-sponsors for their support and participation!
