Lisa M. Gomez Nominated by President Biden to Serve as the Assistant Secretary of the Employee Benefits Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor

Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP is thrilled to announce that President Biden has nominated our partner and colleague Lisa M. Gomez to serve as the Assistant Secretary of the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the U.S. Department of Labor.  This honor and call to service is the culmination of Lisa’s 27+ year career as an employee benefits attorney, representing plans and plan sponsors in the multiemployer benefit plan community serving their participants and beneficiaries, as well as other Taft-Hartley and single employer plans in the private sector and a federal employee health benefit plan.  Lisa looks forward to her confirmation by the Senate and is grateful and humbled to be presented with the opportunity to serve the Biden Administration and the country’s employee benefit plans, participants and beneficiaries in this important role.
